Agios Nektarios and the medieval Paleochora

Kontos Aegina

Kontos Aegina is a village located 7km from the port of Aegina, following the road to Agia Marina. Whether you have already visited Aegina or you have it in your plans, it is almost certain that you will pass through this village.

The name of Kontos village might not ring a bell, but close to it are two of the most famous sights of Aegina. The Monastery of Agios Nektarios and the medieval Paleochora.

The Monastery of Saint Nektarios opens its doors to thousands of Greek and foreigner visitors every year, while the atmospheric Paleochora is considered the Mystras of Aegina.

The beautiful image of Kontos village is complemented by nature, with olive trees and vineyards all around you.
