Sfentouri

The southernmost tip of the island

Sfentouri

Just before you reach Perdika, if you follow the road to the left, you will find yourself climbing up a road leading to the village of Sfentouri. This particular area stands out for its characterful houses and beautiful courtyards.

They say that the settlement, built on the southernmost tip of the island, was created in order for the shepherds of the area to have a place to spend the winter. Nowadays in Sfentouri the newly built houses are increasing in number, and not without reason, since the village is famous for its view which, due to the altitude (240 meters), changes according to the spot where you choose to stand and enjoy it.

Bonus Tips

  • Follow the road that descends from the back of the mountain and have a swim in one of the three beautiful bays of the island: Kleidi or Klima
  • Try to count the little churches scattered in the area. There are many more than you imagine!
  • Do not miss the sunset from Sfentouri.
