Although small and relatively near to Athens, Aegina hosts a number of birds, some of which are rarer than others. Throughout the year, on Ellanio mountain (villages Pachia Rachi and Kontos) you can observe, among other birds, mountain partridges, storks and local species.
Depending on the season, you may be lucky to observe flocks of storks, herons and more aquatic fowl!
