Aeginian Festivals

Since you cannot experience Dekapentavgoustos (mid-August holiday) properly without a traditional festival, keep in mind that the biggest festival of Aegina takes place at the Monastery of Panagia Chrysoleontissa.

The rest of the year, the Monastery of St. Nektarios celebrates on November 9th, Agia Marina on July 17th, Agios Sostis (Perdika) on September 7th and the patron saint of the island, Saint Dionysius, is celebrated in the Cathedral of the city on December 17th.
