The People of Aegina #28 – Lambros & Maro
At the beginning of 2016, a couple in love, Lambros and Maro, followed their hearts and decided to make their dream a reality by moving permanently to our charming island. With a simple little house in the beautiful mountain village of Vlachides, they brought with them boundless energy and enthusiasm for their new life, faithfully following their dreams.
Over the following months, they created a dynamic sports club, giving the children of Aegina the opportunity to get involved in sports, with many of them going on to excel at a national level. Their constant pursuit of progress and sensitivity to the needs of the island eventually led them into the hospitality sector. Through the creation of L&M Properties, they devoted themselves entirely to the field, managing a large portfolio of properties with love and professionalism, all available for rent and ready to offer visitors unique Greek hospitality experiences.

The magic of Aegina sweeps you away every day, bringing together all the right elements. Healing walks in nature, a peaceful life without rushing, which means a clear mind, easy access to excellent local produce — and all this just one hour away from the capital!
What connects you to Aegina?
Maro, having grown up here until the age of 18, sees her childhood self in every corner of the island, while Lambros says that Aegina is his second love, after Maro, who was the reason that led him to make a new beginning here.
Favourite places and activities in Aegina…
Favourite spots include Aegina’s main beach, the pine-covered forest of Mesagros, the little coves of the Plakakia area, which are perfect for swimming, the picturesque chapel of Agios Antonios, ideal for exploring, and the lookout point at the top of the mountain east of Aegina.
How do you feel when you return to Aegina?
When we return, we simply feel relieved!
