Immediately after Souvala, at the foot of the hill, visit the village of Vathi, one of the largest and oldest villages in Aegina. Excavations have revealed that the area was inhabited since ancient times.

Its inhabitants have traditionally been cultivators, mainly tending to vineyards and olive groves, but most of them now are occupied in commercial businesses and tourism.

Climbing up the hill you will eventually pass from the church of Agia Triada and then, on the top of the hill, that of Prophitis Elias. The Holy Monastery of Panagia Eleftherothria is found 1,5 km after Agia Triada.
