Psachni

Nature's wild beauty

Psachni

An old inland settlement with ruins of houses, animal pens and one sole inhabitant, the shepherd of the village!

Here nature thrives in the wild beauty of the Aeginian landscape… Look for the ruins of an old cylindrical structure. They say it served as an oven or furnace.

It is also reported that there are 15 souvalas (water tanks) in Ano(upper) and Kato(lower) Psachni. Access is difficult as almost all the paths that lead to the settlement of Psachni are closed. But if you manage to reach it, the view of the hills around you and the sea in the background will compensate you.

Must see

The monastery of Panagia Chrysoleontissa, 15 minutes’ walk from the village of Psachni, which is reached through a stunningly beautiful route.
