The monastery of Agios Nektarios is not the only one which attracts thousands of faithful every year. Aegina has many monasteries and churches worthy of visiting. From the Mitropoli to Panagia Chrysoleontissa and the characteristic church of St. Nicholas The Mariner in the harbor, a long weekend is hardly enough to allow a visit to all of them.

The Paleochora monument, considered the Mystras of Aegina, comprises numerous Byzantine churches, accessible through an easy/moderate hike.
