The name “Hive” is derived from the name of their village, Kypseli (which means “beehive” in Greek). Just like a hive, Hive aims to become a hub for all Aeginites, young and old. A bit of trivia: Kypseli, formerly known as “Halasmeni” (meaning “ruined”), owes its name either to a partially destroyed temple that was near the location of the current church or to a general destruction that may have occurred in the area.
Maria and Nikos embody the essence of community, much like a beehive enriches its ecosystem. Their philosophy revolves around providing a more comfortable and family-friendly shopping experience, with a personal touch and very affordable prices, averaging around €25!
